Printing Your Custom Decorative Slate

We print our custom-made photo slates in our Suffolk warehouse. Each slate starts with a white ORCA coated surface, ensuring a smooth canvas for your designs. Using a special printing technique called dye sublimation, we apply heat and pressure to transfer your images onto the slate surface. This process involves a heat press reaching temperatures of 200 degrees Celsius which allows the ink to bond with the slate. The result is a vibrant, long-lasting print that is integrated into the very fabric of the slate itself.

When designing your photo slate, it is important to take into consideration the quality of the images you use. Opting for high-quality images will result in a better finish and enhance the overall visual appeal of your personalised slate.

If you have a specific effect in mind, such as black and white or sepia tones, ensure that you upload your design accordingly.

Please note that each slate we produce is a natural product and is handcrafted with chiseled bevelled edges. As with any natural material slight variances in size and appearance may occur. Therefore, we recommend avoiding placing important elements of your photos or designs right at the very edge. They may be affected by the bevelled edges.
