We apply the print to the underside of the glass placemat, allowing the design to be visible through the glass while helping to protect it from wear and tear during use.

Please note: Our chopping boards are made from heat resistant toughened glass. The glass undergoes a special toughening process, which results in a slight blue/green tinge. This is a natural outcome of the toughening process and is completely normal. However, this can impact the overall appearance of your artwork, especially if you opt for very light colours such as creams, beiges or pastel yellows. These light shades may appear slightly different when printed on the glass due to the tinge of the glass.

We print our custom made placemats at our Suffolk warehouse. Our glass placemats are made from tempered glass which undergoes a meticulous process to ensure durability and longevity. To achieve the desired result, we use a dye sublimation heat press that operates at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius. This advanced printing technique allows us to transfer your unique designs onto the specially coated underside of the placemats, resulting in a permanent and vibrant finish. The combination of heat and pressure during the sublimation process ensures that your artwork is embedded into the surface of the placemat.

It’s worth noting that our personalised glass placemats are crafted from heat resistant toughened glass. As a result of the toughening process, there is a subtle blue/green tinge to the glass. It can slightly impact the appearance of certain colours in your artwork. Particularly, lighter shades such as creams, beiges and pastel yellows may appear slightly altered due to the tint of the glass.
